PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Made in Canada for heavy-duty construction and industrial levelling, this 4″ x 6″ plastic shim pack provides adjustable support for precast concrete panels, tilt-up walls, masonry units and heavy machinery. Each pack contains six colour-coded high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) shims in three thicknesses. Use the layers individually or stack them to reach the required elevation in nominal 1/16″ increments. Raised interlocking ribs help keep the shims aligned when stacked.
Each 4″ x 6″ shim can also be separated lengthwise into two 2″ x 6″ shims for narrower placements. The 1/8″ and 1/4″ layers have moulded score lines for easier splitting, while the 1/16″ layer can be scored with a utility knife before breaking. One complete pack measures approximately 1″ (26 mm) thick and weighs approximately 400 g. Custom pack thicknesses are available for project requirements.

INDEPENDENT LAB TESTING
Individual shim layers underwent compression testing in accordance with ASTM D695-23. Each layer was subjected to a maximum applied compressive stress equivalent to 11,000 psi, with no cracking or failure observed.
Separate ASTM D732 punch-type shear testing measured shear strengths from 23.48 to 24.09 MPa across the three shim thicknesses, with an average of 23.75 MPa.
